E.T. – Saturday 5th August 2023

Earlier today there was an article about the type of message we could create that would be easily understood by intelligent life elsewhere.
Interestingly, my first thoughts were in the molecular format, which then led me to genetics, because it was genetics that brought me to the realisation that there was something other than us, and that turned my attention to outside of Earth.

If you’re an intelligent being who can create molecular code then it must also mean that you can understand information that exists at the molecular level. So that being would know everything that is known to that micro world, which must be a staggering amount of knowledge and of course would incorporate what this universe actually is and so on and so forth.

If stars can use matter as a source of information as well as energy and such, then by rights, matter flowing about between galaxies etc., contains information of what’s occurring in their districts and would be their constant update of each other.
Which funnily enough would mean that all galaxies would know about Earth and any other such planets (which would probably have orbiting satellites) if there is a planet with inhabitants much like ourselves, currently at or about the same level of technology as ourselves.

So to my mind, we have already received a message from an intelligent being and geneticists are looking at it every day.

It occurs to me that because sight is something so common among various life here, whether it’s ocean life, mammals, insects etc., that you could only code for sight, if the coder can also see, if that makes sense. And that occurred to me because I was contemplating the speed that most life, processes at. Everything seems to process at about the same speed. Sloths came to mind and I thought their bodies move slowly, but are they seeing/processing their environment at the same general speed as other creatures, or at the their movement speed?
The reason I was thinking about that, was, if we are all coded to function at this general speed, then again it’s reasonable to assume the coder probably does also.

As to intelligent planetary life, I should think it safe to assume that eyes and ears will be present and that sound (music) pictures and art would be a good format for a message to intelligent life on another planet.
