Pyramids Another Additional Note – Sunday 3rd December 2023
Some other points to make, regarding size, Stonehenge was large, all the pyramids were large. Obviously, pyramids hadn’t been built before and this is another factor in the unusual activity of these monuments. The people were compelled and clearly inspired to build them, without any experience and yet why so large? Homes would have been smallish and very basic, I would think, for the majority of people.
Late last night I saw an article about a tablet that was recently decoded and was determined to be relating to trigonometry. It was 3700 years old.
It occurred to me that the pyramid building may have been instrumental in new learning. An example for us in our time is war, war inspires those people who build machines for fighting and war related matters to create bigger better and new concepts. But in early wars, bayonets, rifles, soldiers on foot and horseback. So we tend to do, as needed at the time and circumstance.
When they were building those pyramids, (to my mind) that was comparable to our building a skyscraper a thousand years ago. That’s how odd, in my view, that people of simple times and needs and also very superstitious, was.
Egypt had power and wealth and they had many people to build them, but for some of the other countries that built them, I doubt they could afford to get the build wrong for that and other reasons.
So it implies to me that what they saw, was also very large. How they interpreted what they saw. Initially, wonder and amazement, then possibly very fearful. Because they probably would have began to think that it was meant for them, some might have thought it a message of love and greeting while others may have thought it a warning. Leaders can make use of things to effect the less informed and there would have been an element of this. People didn’t think then as they do now. I’m not sure how long ago now, but for example, people sacrificed children if crops failed. That type of belief and thinking has been with us while we toiled and increased intellect.
The Egyptians had medical instruments and made beautiful things, yet they too still had unusual ideas.
We can have a fundamental understanding of trigonometry yet have beliefs that are baseless. A more recent example, witches and stakes. How could we do that and have the Mona Lisa?
So, people of a time that mostly lived very basically, all were compelled to build large to huge monuments at around a similar time as each other, in the shape of a pyramid, who most likely had never before seen that shape, yet they went out and spent lifetimes building these huge pyramid shaped buildings, that were essentially not for the people to live in.
Why? And that’s how I come to the conclusion, they all saw something, it was very large, they attributed it to a higher power and wanted to show respect and love to that higher power.
