God, (Heavenly Father) is not a Magician

God, (Heavenly Father) is not a Magician

27th July 2018

I’ve often given the above (title) thought and was again thinking about it earlier this week. Next day, I caught the start of the show ‘Bonanza’ and it was about a travelling magician and his twin daughters. I didn’t watch it, but decided I’d write a post to my website/s this week and share my thoughts.

Very often I hear people say words to the effect that ‘if God exists why do children or other innocents suffer?’ Or, ‘God doesn’t exist because God didn’t prevent a certain catastrophe’.

The Heavenly Father, (I personally suspect that the Heavenly Father would prefer that title), but it’s for the individual to decide for themselves.

When we look around us near and far, it is all scientifically based. Although it is miraculous, it is none the less, science. It isn’t hocus-pocus. My work determines, scientifically, that the Heavenly Father not only exists, but is living (and will be for a very long time for that matter).

We tend to conclude that the Heavenly Father is not limited to scientific boundaries, despite the fact that all we are and see has a scientific basis. Therefore, it is not possible for the Heavenly Father to act outside of science. It is clear to me that the Heavenly Father has capabilities that are outside of our current learning and understanding, but still within scientific limits.

So, when we come up with the above determinations of ‘Gods’ existence and capabilities including magic, and abilities being outside of sciences’ boundaries, we are being silly. It’s no different to someone telling me that if I can do the work I do, then I should be able to fly as well and my not being able to flap my arms and fly, therefore determines I cannot exist.

There’s no doubt in my mind that if it were possible for the Heavenly Father to prevent bad people doing bad things, the Heavenly Father would and has probably experienced great pain from knowing of the cruelties that our species has perpetrated. Not only to our own species, but to others as well.

The Heavenly Father cannot physically step in, as such, but the Heavenly Father did ensure that we could.
