Dwarf Planet: The Goblin

Dwarf Planet: The Goblin

14th October 2018

A week or so ago I heard a news story about a new dwarf planet at the outer edge of our solar system. Its been given the name ‘The Goblin’ which was the name of my beloved Great Dane whom was with me some decades ago and still think of him often.

During the news story it was mentioned by the expert that some scientists believe our moon was initially part of Earth. It’s an interesting concept but not one I agree with. The moon started out its own entity, its purpose was most certainly to be a moon. I expect it is close in age to Earth (by planetary standards) and this would apply to many moons orbiting the planets in our solar system, however many of the moons orbiting those planets beyond Earth (out-a-ways) in the solar system would also be of differing ages.

In time, Venus and Mercury will have moons too.
