“Colonising Mars” and Black Holes
“Colonising Mars” and Black Holes
16th June 2018
Yesterday afternoon on ABC news a ‘researcher’ was speaking on colonising Mars and also using a different form of telescope (infrared and radio) for the purpose of viewing black holes and what they had been able to see regarding colliding galaxies etc. I didn’t quite get his name…. Dr.Harley Ively? Something like that? (Apologies, as I would prefer to quote his name correctly) from The ANU Research School of Earth Sciences. I went to their site in hope of finding the correct spelling of his name but only found the research summary of the ‘cyanobacteria’ study which didn’t mention his name, nor could I locate it in staff section. As well, I went to the ABC site and found the news item but it didn’t provide his name either.
His first subject was on colonising Mars and in order to produce breathable oxygen for a Mars based colony; the possibility of introducing cyanobacteria on Mars to achieve this aim. Firstly, and simply, if the ‘cyanobacteria’ in question was able to grow on Mars, it would already be doing so. Therefore, it isn’t able to. The same molecules on this planet are also on Mars and on Mars they now remain in molecular form only. Though I read that the bacteria was found to be able to ‘survive’ in space, in the long-term it wouldn’t ‘thrive’ in space. Mars sustained a catastrophic event which rendered it permanently inhospitable to surface life, as we know it on Earth. Not even its internal workings are performing the job that is necessary to support surface life. Mars is not deceased however, but sadly it is in a state that could best be described for people to understand, as, in a sense, comatose. Though that isn’t exact, it’s the closest definition that we can relate to.
Though I feel like a bubble burster, we really need to focus our energies on this planet, it’s health, our activities on this planet and our health. We should of course continue to learn about and search outer-space, but we have some very serious issues that require our attention here and now.
The second subject spoken of was in regard to black holes, viewing them with infrared and radio telescopes and what was observed when with such when two galaxies collided. However toward the end of the news story the above researcher/doctor made mention that ‘some scientists’ suspect that black holes may be part of the process of creating other universe’ and therefore forming a ‘multiverse’.
I have to assert my right to state to ABC and others that the black-hole creating a universe theory, (including the universe in which we find ourselves), is work first theorised and written of by me in 2015, Fiona MacLeod, (which is copyright) and can be found on my website: https://fionamycloud.com titled “Universe Defined®” and therefore my name and work should be mentioned when such statements are made. As anyone else would rightly expect.
