Quasar’s L Shaped Filament – Sunday 22nd December 2024 11.07pm

Having looked at the image I noticed several brief breaks in the filament and on each break there is a slight wandering or veering off of the filament material. When I look at the first section-ie., when the jet activated, the filament veers in a similar direction to the end section, which is when the jet quietened. So my thought is that when the jet is at non-full strength it veers, then when it’s at full strength, it maintains a fairly constant trajectory and the filament material shows the jet’s movement.
