My Train of Thought – Tuesday 21st November 2023

Often, there is articles and discussion relating to life on other planets. Some weeks ago I began to wonder about the various stars and their contributions. Having determined some time ago (from my perspective) that planets with surface life is a feat that’s possible with a select type of star, so I thought what then do other stars contribute? Which is how I came to the thought of very long lived stars being a suitable place for containing the history of this ‘universe’ in micro information form. I also thought that these long lived stars keep their galaxies stable throughout their longevity, whilst others are short lived and recently read of those that roam away. There does seem to be an organised system. Much like ourselves, we can’t all be the same or doing the same work, as that wouldn’t succeed as a society. We all contribute something different.

And so it appears to me that the stars also have their own purposes and contributions to their galaxies. We have our elderly, so do stars, we have medical specialists for health or tradespeople to do repairs for example. Stars know science and that’s evident because despite their extremely large scale, one can see their varied abilities and this planet is, in a sense, proof of the scientific capabilities of our star and planet Earth, and hopefully others very much like them. Though I don’t think there are stars like ours and planets like Earth in abundance, there should still be some, but I expect they will be very rare and difficult to find.
